Like the halo 3 beta was great (kinda)
And that just made people want the game even more.

So a demo for Gears could make it better or worse

Yeah but that was a beta meant to flush out bugs in the system, a demo is for promotional reasons. I could see Gears2 having a closed beta.(invite only)
