A little late but still our longest show ever clocking in at 1:03:50. We talk about the goings on at E3 and cover all the main news from the console developers - not much from Nintendo though as there wasn’t much to talk about!

A quick video that Microsoft put out shows the flawless interface of the ‘games on demand’ feature. Assuming you’ve already downloaded Mass Effect and Bioshock you’ll be able to pull it up quickly and start playing with no problem. The nice feature given away in this video is the seemingly smooth transition between playing a game at one point and simply calling up the guide to load another, neat.
Bungie Studios teases us with a short video trailer of what will be the next step for the Halo Franchise after Halo 3: ODST is launched. A specific release date for Halo 3: Reach has not been stated but instead been set for a general year, 2010. It was said that all gamers who purchase Halo 3: ODST will automatically receive an invite code to Halo 3: Reach’s online multiplayer beta.
In this weeks episode we take the time to answer your Xbox related Questions and talk about the news of this week. Apologies in advance for some sound issues we had - nothing too major though.
With The Guardian announcing some zune details Microsoft came and announced a whole lot more features with pictures and cleared up some questions as well. So what more can we expect?
Well we can definitely expect the Zune to be announced at E3 - Microsoft has already stated this. And Microsoft has also confirmed a Fall release date.
Introducing Zune HD
Zune HD is the next iteration of the Zune device family and brings a new level of listening and viewing experiences to the portable media player category.
Zune HD comes with a built-in HD Radio receiver so users can listen to higher-quality sound than traditional radio on the go. Users also will have access to the additional song and artist data broadcast by HD Radio stations as well as additional channels from their favorite stations multicasting in HD. If you don’t like the song playing on your station’s HD channel, switch to its HD2 or HD3 channels for additional programming.
The bright OLED touch screen interface allows users to flip through music, movies and other content with ease, and the 16:9 widescreen format display (480×272 resolution) offers a premium viewing experience on the go.
The HD-compatible output lets Zune HD customers playback supported HD video files from the device through a premium high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) audiovisual docking station (sold separately) direct to an HD TV in 720p.
Zune HD will include a full-screen Internet browser optimized for multitouch functionality.
Zune HD is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing for instant streaming to the device from the more than 5 million-track Zune music store.
The Zune will also include Internet Explorer but the processor, ram and graphics chip have yet to be announced.
You may be wondering how it can be called the Zune HD but yet not actually have an HD screen. Well what the Zune HD does is it downscales the movie/tvshow/podcast to 480×272 but still allows you to output it at 720p. But you cannot output 720p without a required dock - no price on that yet though.
Some more news is that the Zune will expand its movie collection to that of the Xbox Live Marketplace, however even with Zune becoming intergrated with Xbox Live Marketplace the two have not yet been merged into one with Zune still having its own store.
So there you have it. Stay tuned for more Zune HD info at E3. Source
Guardian seems to have some new information that they say comes straight from Microsoft themselves. Apperently Microsoft is to be releasing a new Zune and what’s more it will be out within a month. Guardian states that it will only be marketed in the US though. This doesn’t mean much as more and more buyers flock online to purchase their tech gadgets.
In a recent interview with Gaurdian’s Gamesblog, Stephenson(Microsoft’s General Manager of Consumer Marketing for TV, Video and Music Business)
Eventually we’ll offer the full digital entertainment experience spanning screens, devices, platforms and geographies
This is a fantastic piece of hardware and absolutely it’s going right up against iPod Touch; it’s hyper competitive against that product. I think in many ways, we look at our consumers and what’s really motivated them.
The radio functionality is something that people really talk about – the HD radio receiver, with radio tagging, with track tagging, is a great differentiator for us. It’s going to be an interesting and competitive year for us in the market – we think we’ve got a great product; we are going to compete.
A quick rundown of the features revealed are listed below:
This week we have all the regular hosts on the show except for Shwan who is replaced by Trace for this show. As usual all the stuff talked about can be found here:
